We all know how busy Watch Hill can be in the summer during peak hours – especially on weekends- but a little secret- it is pretty quiet mid-week early in the morning. One of our favorite spots for dining in or take away is Ten Sandwiches. With indoor and outdoor seating options, it is a great place to grab a breakfast sandwich, smoothie or coffee of your choice. Serving breakfast from 9-11, Ten Sandwiches offers five breakfast sandwiches, 5 smoothies and numerous coffee choices. Our favorite is the number 5 sandwich with an iced latte.
Filled with ham, a farm egg, raspberry preserves, brie and whole grain mustard, this sandwich is usually served on a croissant. We opted for the gluten free bread and were not disappointed. We love that Ten Sandwiches uses locally sourced and organic ingredients. We also love the atmosphere, which is relaxed, eclectic and “ship centric”, reminding us of old New England maritime history.
Sit outside or bring your food across the street to watch the boats, either way Ten Sandwiches is a quiet breakfast spot in the middle of a (usually) busy tourist destination…go for nine o’clock in the morning and you will find peace and quiet with a view most people only get to dream about.
