If you know me, you know I am a little obsessed with the yogurt from Terra Firma Farm.  You can find it at McQuade’s or Westerly Packing Company.  Despite my obsession, I had not made it over to the Terra Firma Farm Farm Stand.  Until today.

Located at 564 Norwich Westerly Road in North Stonington, it is a short drive from Westerly, but well worth it.  When we arrived today there was a farm camp going on where the children seemed to be thoroughly enjoying themselves.  There was the cutest dog playing frisbee.  There were lovely gardens being tended to.  And then…there was the yogurt.  An entire case full.  Flavor after flavor- some that are not available in local stores…making it worth the drive.  They also carry eggs, honey, ice cream, milk, and loads of pork based products.

We weren’t really planning on going to the farm stand today so we didn’t have a cooler with us, but if we had I would have been very excited to try the ice cream.  Because, along with my yogurt addiction, I am an ice cream addict.  Which means I most definitely need to get back to Terra Firma Farm to give it a try.  We left with eggs, honey, a few varieties of milk and of course, yogurt.

After this quick visit I can only say I love them even more.  Gorgeous products and a beautiful philosophy.  Terra Firma Farm offers meat and pork boxes, farm share vegetable CSAs, and, as I’ve just read, ice cream CSAs. WHAT?!?! Oh my goodness, I might be in trouble now!

The farm stand is open from 10-7 daily.  What is better than knowing where your food is coming from, supporting a nearby farm and shopping local?
