Living in the North End of town, McQuade’s Market is a very convenient stop for us.  Our weekly shop generally centers around the produce aisle.  It is on your way out of produce where you will find the gorgeous glass case filled with yummy treats.  And that, Westerly, is where our willpower is tested.

Sometimes we can fight it.  We can walk past and head straight to dairy…but sometimes we stop and linger.  Today was one of those days.  The frosted brownies were calling our name.  So we left with two.  A chocolate walnut and a peanut butter chip.

These brownies were thick.  They were chocolately, with spreadable frosting that was neither too sweet nor too fluffy.  The texture, crunch and the yum factor was… Out. Of. Control.  Our two brownies lasted two days.  They were split between three people.  We made them last.

Our favorite part? The staff behind the counter is always so friendly.  They are great with kids and quick to get you what you want and on your way.  Next time you are downtown stop by and try one for yourself!
