In honor of National Cookie Day we found one of the best ones around this weekend. Go big or go home. That is clearly the theory behind the perfect cookies at Sift Bake Shop in Mystic. If you haven’t been to Sift yet you really should plan a drive over. When you walk in you can’t help but notice the care and detail which went into planning the space. Then you see the stunning array of baked goods filling the glass cases. Let’s just say it’s a good thing I don’t live in Mystic. The Chocolate Walnut Sea Salt cookies checked all of our boxes. Sweet. Savory. Crunchy outside. Gooey inside. Chocolaty. Dunkable. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes and yes. There is something about a great cookie that screams comfort food to me, perfect for winter afternoons. Cozy. Warm. You will get that feeling from these cookies. They might even be better than homemade. Stop in and see what else they have, you will truly be in awe of the total gorgeousness and creativity of the food behind the counter.
