MISQUAMICUT BEACH RI
The state beach offers over a half-mile of oceanfront recreation. The beach pavilion includes a gift shop, shade gazebos, lifeguard towers and outdoor cold showers. Two annual music festivals, Springfest and Fallfest, are held each May and September under the auspices of the Misquamicut Business Association
Half mile of state beach with clean, clear water with low surf zone. There is parking for 2,100 cars at state facility. Large new pavilion, shade structures, coin operated hot showers, cold showers, changing rooms, First-Aid, concessions, restrooms.
Westerly RI offers mouth watering cuisine, beaches, coastal scenery, boutiques and various activities to stay busy with your family and loved ones on your vacation or getaway. There is something for everyone here in Misquamicut Beach Westerly RI where the beaches are just the beginning.

The Jonnycake Center of Westerly Thrift Store is open from 9am - 4pm on Fridays. The last entry will be given at 3:30pm.
All proceeds from sales directly supports our food pantry and social services programs.

🌀We Survived Bob, 1991
Hurricane Bob made landfall twice in Rhode Island as a Category 2 hurricane on August 19, first on Block Island and then in Newport. This photo was taken at Sisco`s General Store on Atlantic Ave the day after Bob swept through. The day before, we were frantically emptying all "valuble" items from the store as storm surge was projected. All family and some friends filled their vehicles with goods and headed for higher grounds! The ocean stopped inches from the front door, someone must have been watching out for us!
