The Haversham Tavern is a hidden gem off of Route 1. You may not notice the tavern from Route 1, but you surely will notice their announcements board. While it technically is outside of Westerly, we are happy to claim it. This picturesque place will 
have you hooked as soon as you pull up with its gazebo, and fairytale like charm. It is not a shocker that this is popular place to have a wedding. Now to clarify there is The Haversham Tavern (restaurant) and The Haversham House (wedding venue) which sit side by side in this countryside whimsical lot.
Since we weren’t attending a wedding during our visit we only have the tavern to talk about. Walking into the tavern you will see sports memorabilia, most notably golf flags. It has the charm of a small town tavern with a sports bar vibe. It is the type of versatile restaurant that you can attend all year round even if your favorite team isn’t playing. Not only is the restaurant’s decor and vibe versatile but also their menu. You can get the standard bar style appetizers, burgers, and sandwiches, as well as grilled pizza, pasta, and entrees from the land and sea. There is literally something for everyone.
So if you need a place to watch some sports with a bar style menu then The Haversham is your place. If you are looking for a nice and versatile place to grab some lunch or dinner then The Haversham is your place. If you are looking for a beautiful place to get married or even take engagement photos then The Haversham is the place to go.
